Gertie is our latest conversion on a Sprinter Mercedes L3H2 (LWB) commissioned by our stimulating customers Will&Gilly.
They came to us with an idea of a secret shower in the sofa 😱😅🚿🛋️. Being present on IG, we already saw a couple of hidden showers in the past (many genius ideas) but we went to something different here.
The curves of the Sprinter Mercedes (LWB) made the job quite tricky 🤯. The upper and lower shower doors rail must be parallel for a smooth tambour door slide. The length of the door has been calculated to fit the spiral and of course close the shower without being too long and heavy. I am now not totally sure that my explanation is making sense 🤔 (keep in mind that I am French 😬). Rhys @thedour.co.uk has been really helpful to chose the right spirals of the tambour door and to give us other advices. Absolutely recommended if you need shower doors in your van.

Fred's Van is an LWB Sprinter Mercedes 2019 which has specially been built for a customer who is ready for a roaming life and designed to a Boho cosy style for a peaceful environment!!
The front swivel seat and the folding table offer a superb office area and the van is equipped with 5G MIFI and a large screen monitor to work from. In addition, he will also enjoy the full freedom of being off grid and a 375W solar panel has been fitted onto the roof to fill his 460Ah Lithium battery. In his garage, everything is customised so that he can enjoy his free time which includes his passion for scuba diving! We have installed a tank compressor so he can fill his tank whenever he needs and there is plenty of space to even store his skis and climbing ropes! Definitely no time to be bored! As Fred plans to travel to Africa where refilling LPG tanks can be compromised, all the appliances work on diesel. He has an external hot shower and his cassette toilet is located under the cleverly designed seat!
